David James Hunt has real estate in his blood, rediscovering this following his first career in the wine industry in Sonoma/Napa Valley and meeting his wife Carrie. David is originally from the UK where his biological father manages a successful real estate brokerage but was not present in David’s life. David blazed his own path in life without his father’s influence or help.

On summer break from college, David had the opportunity to experience the Italian wine country where he was smitten by all the elements of the wine industry and he aspires to have his own vineyard estate someday. Following his Italian trip he relocated to Napa Valley to apprentice and study winemaking for several years and then founded his own wine production company crafting high-quality rosé wines. During this time, David met his future wife who was a project manager and sales director for commercial and residential construction developments in Silicon Valley and Napa Valley. While producing wine for his brand Define Wines, he concurrently founded a wine touring and transportation business guiding affluent tourists around to the best spots of Napa and Sonoma County. Realizing his knack for world-class customer service, showcasing wine country properties, and aligned with his wife’s construction businesses it became clear that a real estate career was the natural next progression.

While David has moved a lot during his early life, he’s relieved and incredibly grateful to finally call Sonoma County home and is raising his two young sons in Healdsburg with his wife Carrie. Northern California is a magical place with so much natural beauty, incredible weather, entrepreneurial energy, and a sense of community. David James is blessed to share the area with all those who cross his path and is excited to help folks relocate, invest, and settle roots into the beauty of Northern California.
